Black History Read-in at the Cephas House 

When: Saturday, Feb. 8th, from 10 am until 2 pm. 

SMPL will join the Calaboose African American History Museum to host the 3rd Annual African American Read In. Free and open to the public. We have plenty of books to read for adults and children. Reach for at least 15 minutes, but stay as long as you'd like. Come celebrate Black History Month with us! 

Where: This event is off-site at the Cephas House - located at 205 Martin Luther King Dr, San Marcos, TX 78666 (across the street from the Calaboose African American History Museum).

On April 1st, we will be moving the events calendar meeting room reservations to our new website, and we will not be able to place meeting room or playroom requests.

Meeting room reservations and events calendar will be unavailable on this site after March 31st. On April 2nd, our events calendar and new reservation system for the meeting rooms and playroom will be located at mysmpl.org. As always, you may call the library at 512-393-8200 for assistance with making room reservations.
