Breaking Barriers & Reaching New Heights Story Time & Craft

Breaking Barriers & Reaching New Heights Story Time & Craft In-Person

March is Women's History Month and to celebrate, Asian Family Support Services of Austin, in conjunction with the San Marcos Public Library, presents a story time featuring the book: The Fearless Flights of Hazel Ying Lee. This picture book biography tells the story of Hazel Ying Lee, a fearless pilot and the first Chinese American woman to fly for the US military during World War II. Following the story time, there will be a children's crafting activity that will allow participants to take home their own clothespin airplane.
