Black History Month Screening

Black History Month Screening In-Person

As part of our efforts to move toward a more racially just and socially equitable landscape for dance cinema, Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema SSF has celebrated heritage months for the last few years. Such screenings highlight artists from communities underrepresented in the field, and from marginalized communities. These screenings have always been free of charge to our local community in Boulder, Colorado, USA. This year, we are screening this event at the San Marcos Public Library also free of charge.

The Black History Month 45min Screening features the work of directors and dancers of color, as well as films that examine or celebrate the Black experience. Followed by a 15min discussion with SSF artistic co-director Ana Baer. Recommended for adults. Minors should be accompanied by a participating adult.
